Game 3 vs. Notre Dame Secondary

(#1 ranking, # 6 California Bowl Rankings)

Our Home opener was against Notre Dame of Canada. The football team was excited to be home after playing two games on the road and our fans were too as they get to see their undefeated Jaguars team play. The Jags got going in the second quarter tallying four touchdowns: rushing scores from Eric Parga on a 4-yard run, Ben Lopez on a 3-yard run, a 35-yard interception return by Omar Navarro, and the 88-yard punt return by David Perkins. At the of the first half the score was 42 - 0 . The game was pretty much in hand at that point. The lone score of the second half came on a 75-yard kickoff return by Omar Navarro. The touchdown gave the Jaguars a 49-0 lead, and the D also recorded its second shut out of the season. This was a dominating performance by the Jaguars in all three phases of the game, offense, defense and special teams. Next up the Rivalry Game vs. Godinez Grizzlies...it should be a good one....FUNDAMENTAL BOWL III…..Jag Football.....HISTORY

 

Freshmen vs. Whittier

Week 2: Whittier This week, the Jaguars played their home opener against the visiting Whittier Cardinals. The Cardinals would score first on a long running from scrimmage. With the fail 2 point attempt, the Jaguars were behind 6-0. The Jaguars would erase this lead with an interception return for a touchdown by safety Zamani Nunez. With the successful 2 points attempt, the Jaguars are up 8-6. The scores would stand until half time. In the second half, the Cardinals scores 14 points in the 3rd quarter. The Jaguars did not answered until the fourth quarter with a TD run by Abel Diaz and a 60 TD catch by Elias Garcia. However, the Cardinals would also score another touchdown on a interception returned for a touchdown. The score now is 26-22 in favor of the Cardinals. The Jaguars last effort to win the game came up short when an attempted pass was picked off, leading to the JaguarÕs first lost of the season, 26-22. With the lost, the Jaguars are 2-1, 0-0.
